A healthy smile and great teeth are essential for not only good oral hygiene but for self-confidence as well. In this blog we are going to be discussing tooth decay. What is it exactly? Tooth decay occurs when bacteria eat away at your tooth enamel
eventually causing a cavity. The causes of tooth decay are not flossing every day, not brushing your teeth twice a day, and eating foods with high sugar content. This is why it is extremely important to maintain great oral hygiene.
One of the most common symptoms of tooth decay is a toothache. Irritation to the tooth pulp is what usually triggers the pain to start. Loose fillings from your cavities are also a contributing factor. Bad breath and a broken tooth are also signs of tooth decay. Eating sweets and really hot or cold foods will also cause more pain to the tooth if decay is present and untreated.
